Sartori’s work is extremely rare. He worked in Austria in the early eighteenth century. His depictions of animal life beneath the undergrowth of the forest are meticulously precise. The genre was known by its Italian name, Sottobosco.

Linda Nieuwstad studied and graduated at Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam. Since then she has fascinated the world with her work, her floral murals and still lifes of flowers reaching up to six metres in height.
Nieuwstad draws inspiration for these enormous, elegant creations from flowers in historical paintings.

Originally from North Friesland, Ovens settled in Amsterdam. He began as an apprentice to Rembrandt, eventually surpassing him in popularity. He painted portraits for the super rich of Amsterdam, and even the king of England, Charles II.

Portrait of Wilhelmina of Prussia, wife of William I, King of the Netherlands, seated beside a portrait of her son William II, King of the Netherlands.
Van der Hulst rose to fame as artist to the court of the House of Orange in the mid-nineteenth century. This painting is from the collection assembled by one of Queen Wilhelmina’s ladies-in-waiting.
